When Hysterectomy is indicated

Hysterectomy is a surgical procedure whereby the uterus (womb) is removed. A woman may have a hysterectomy for different reasons, including:
• Uterine fibroids that cause pain, bleeding, or other problems.
• Endometriosis and Uterine Prolapse.
• Abnormal Uterine or Vaginal Bleeding.
• Chronic Pelvic Pain.
• Cancer of the Uterus, Cervix, or Ovaries
